Xuan-Hui Ng – Portrait of a Photographer

“Nature Photography as Art Therapy”

September 2022

My heartfelt thanks to Matt Payne for featuring my work in “Portrait of a Photographer” in ON Landscape magazine.

"Xuan-Hui Ng’s artwork is powerful, evocative, and personal. She has found a way to celebrate and capture ephemeral moments in nature while simultaneously leveraging this imagery as a form of gratitude and celebration of life’s fleeting realities. Through her new obsession of photography, Xuan-Hui has also leaned hard into her curiosity of the natural world, studying weather, life cycles, rare phenomena such as sun pillars, and more. Through her desire to learn more about nature, she has embraced failure as a teaching mechanism and has learned to utilise her knowledge to capture rare moments in expressive ways."
